Baby Otters at Brookegreen Gardens
The cutest place to be this Summer is no doubt the Brookgreen Gardens Low-Country Zoo! Just south of Myrtle Beach you’ll find Brookgreen Gardens, and within that beautiful sanctuary you’ll find Mama John the otter. This proud Mama lived up to her name this past January when she gave birth to her adorable five otter pups! They had to wait to finish learning to swim before being able to be on display, but as of late April the pups and Mama John are all together for you to come see! This family is truly a sight to see that is sure to melt any and everyone’s hearts. Plus, the Low-County Zoo and the rest of the Gardens features many incredible animals, flora, fountains, and sculptures for you to enjoy!
The Hangout
Now open is the Grand Strand’s newest entertainment destination! This 40,000 square feet dining, retail, and entertainment destination now at Broadway at the Beach is fit for the entire family! Built to be a new gathering place for great food and great times, The Hangout has many features that will prove too have something for everyone to enjoy! Enjoy live music on both indoor and outdoor stages then take a break to enjoy a delicious menu of fresh, local seafood, artisan burgers, tacos, and all of your other favorites in their high tech kitchen. Are you a spots fan? This is the perfect place to catch the game on numerous big screens! Theres also many unique art installations that are both interactive and extremely creative to keep you entertained and having a blast. This high energy and family friendly atmosphere is perfect for the area, and The Hangout is all about different generations coming together and making memories.

The World of Frida Exhibit
Let your inner artist run wild at the World of Frida exhibit at the Myrtle Beach Art Museum! From June 18th through September 24th 2022 patrons of the arts can experience the colorful and exciting world of Frida Kahlo. Friday Kahlo is one of the most well known female hispanic painters in the history of art itself. With her fearless expression of honest individuality, she is a shining example of empowerment, beauty, and determination. The exhibit features over 114 pieces of art created by over 84 different artists. The World of Frida was conceived at the Bedford Gallery at the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek, CA and has been touring since 2018. Our destination here on the Grand Strand is the final one in the tour, which is special due to this year being the museum’s 25th anniversary! So join everyone at the Myrtle Beach Art Museum for the World of Friday art exhibit, and come to the opening day celebration on June 18th from 11:30 – 2:30 pm to enjoy authentic Mexican food, music, and tours of the exhibit! It’s going to be a great time!
