November 21st – December 30th: The Great Christmas Light Show
Drive through this enchanting experience with over 2 miles of over 2 million lights, over 500 magical light displays all set to music, what else could you ask for this holiday season? From November 21st through December 30th you and your family can come once more to this celebration that captures the spirit of the season and end your journey in Santa’s Village with s’mores, hot chocolate, and lots of other goodies. Theres’ a Santa Express Train Ride to give you a closer look at the displays, a petting zoo that just might be home to some mythical reindeer, and oh yeah, the big man himself – Santa!
November 26th- January 1st: Night of a Thousand Candles
Experience one of the most beloved holiday events in the South East! Brookegreen Gardens comes to life under the glow of over 2,700 hand lit candles as you and your loved ones stroll down different gorgeous winding greenery paths enjoying the scenery and majestic statues. Millions of twinkling lights evoke the feeling off the season alongside the candles to turn the gardens into a wonderland perfect to explore with a cup of warm apple cider or a cup or hot chocolate! Hear the sounds of the holiday with carolers, orchestras, and professional bands to play all of your favorite classics and contemporary seasonal hits! Night of a Thousand Candles is open from November 26th through January 1st and gates are open from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Trust us, you won’t want to miss this!
December 3rd: North Myrtle Beach Christmas Parade
It wouldn’t be Christmas time without the annual nighttime North Myrtle Beach Christmas Parade! Join your friends and neighbors on Main Street on December 3rd for this beloved holiday tradition! It really is the best time of the year, and this parade is the time to kick off the season right! Bring your friends, family, and kids to experience festively decorated floats and vehicles representing groups from all across the area celebrating the holiday! Parade entries will be judged and awarded on best designs by judges and a special guest announcer. The parade starts at 5:30, she come dressed in your holiday best! December 22nd: Holiday Movie Night – Elf – at Ripley’s Aquarium
Join all the fish and aquatic creatures at Ripley’s Aquarium this December for a holiday movie night to remember! Grab your popcorn, kick up your fins, and get ready for an extra special showing of the movie Elf right at Ripley’s Aquarium right amongst the animals on a giant 10 foot screen! Spread Christmas cheer by singing loud for all to hear and cuddle up just out of reach of the sharks with complimentary hot chocolate bars, a snack bag, scavenger hunt, and more! Plus you can come early for a festive dance party between 7:00 and 8:00 pm before the movie! Come dressed in a festive holiday onesie or as your favorite holiday character for extra fun. Each child that comes decking in holiday cheer will receive a Ripley’s gift! The event is mainly floor seating but everyone is welcome to bring blankets and cushions for their comforts. You and your kids are not going to want to miss this special holiday showing!
